Responsibilities

Provide subject matter expertise on accessibility and user experience for new consumer-facing app features.
Go beyond WCAG to deliver inclusive experiences that meet and excel the baseline standards.
Deep-dive into technical recommendations for web/React, iOS, or Android platforms.
Help oversee the strategic accessibility roadmap for the Pluto TV platform.
Scale the Compliance Operations team by identifying areas of opportunity for growth.
Train our internal product teams; educate designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers on accessibility for your specialized platform (web/React, iOS, or Android).
Assess new product designs and provide feedback on their adaptability with assistive technologies.
Review our products, looking for accessibility issues and design changes to our features in order to make our platforms more accessible and inclusive.
Document technical accessibility requirements at the component level and architecture level.

Experience/Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in User Experience, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Masters degree is preferred.
5+ years of experience in digital accessibility and compliance in the technology space. This experience must not be limited to manual/automated testing, but include experience in the development of accessible interfaces and experience in the product development lifecycle.
Expertise in web/React, iOS, or Android accessibility. Development experience in one of these platforms is highly preferred.
Previous experience at a large technology company is preferred.
Experience applying accessibility standards and tools to product development.
Deep expertise in WCAG standards, and expertise with assistive technologies such as JAWS/VoiceOver, ZoomText, or keyboard input.
Experience and knowledge in Agile software development.
Working experience with JIRA project management software.
Comfortable presenting ideas and designs to a group of passionate engineering peers.
Strong technical writing skills: ability to create compelling, detail-oriented documentation that sets up design, engineering, and testing teams for success.
Passion for product process and innovation.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must have strong time management skills in order to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
