DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Senior Applications Developer serves as the lead technical developer on system acceptance testing projects, providing support to lower-level developers by making task assignments according to project plans, interpreting requirements, reviewing code, and mentoring. Has a thorough understanding of functional testing techniques such as exploratory, black-box and white-box testing and performs testing at the appropriate level based on the SDLC such as System Acceptance Testing, Regression Testing and User Acceptance Testing. Writes test cases for automated and manual testing, executes and records tests with appropriate linkages in Level Access Accessibility Management Platform, Microsoft Test Manager (MTM), TFS or Microsoft Azure DevOps. Oversees and participates in unit, system integration, system acceptance testing, and regression testing. Ensures all testing results are recorded and defects are identified within the appropriate tool.

Maintains a thorough knowledge and expertise in accessibility testing and the WCAG guidelines using Level Access Accessibility Management Platform, JAWS, JAWS Inspect, ANDI and other tools.

Maintains a thorough knowledge and expertise in the automated testing framework using C#, Selenium and .NET framework. Must use and keep skills current in these technologies and others as required: Visual Basic (VB.Net), SQL Server database, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and Hypertext Markup Language (HTML). Uses Microsoft Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server (TFS), and Azure DevOps appropriately for source code control, versioning, documentation, and recording time spent on tasks. Researches and resolves critical development issues that may arise.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment.
Work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
Telework: Our office is currently full-time telework. You will be expected to work from home (telework) full-time. You must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Although this is a telework position, it is headquartered at 2525 7th Street, Harrisburg and you will need to come to the Harrisburg office to pick up your equipment. You may also need to come into the office for training and on an ad hoc basis, your supervisor will give you at least a 24-hour notice and all travel will be at your own expense.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as an Applications Developer 2 or Computer Programmer 4; or
Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field; or
Five years of information technology experience that includes three years of experience in applications development or applications maintenance; or
One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
