The Accessibility Compliance Coordinator Performs The Following Functions
Review courses for ADA and Section 508 accessibility compliance; provide detailed course accessibility reports with recommendations for correction.
Work with faculty to review and correct accessibility issues.
Create additional accessibility resources for faculty and staff use.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
An Associate’s degree with at least two years experience in digital design and accessibility compliance with demonstrated knowledge related to ADA and Section 508 requirements in online courses and materials.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional organizational skills, and evidence of excellence in online course accessibility compliance.
Must be able to compile detailed reports and make viable recommendations to correct accessibility issues discovered during audits.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrates excellent communication and organization skills, and excellence in online teaching or accessibility compliance
Experienced with ADA and Section 508/VPAT accessibility regulations as well as a variety of accessibility checkers within programs (i.e. Microsoft Office, Adobe)
Experience with closed captioning and instructional technology accessibility
Must be able to work independently with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Must be able to work professionally and ethically with others, either virtually or in person.
