Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Web Accessibility Specialist for OIT-Enterprise Service Delivery. The Web Accessibility Specialist is responsible for providing the University web development community with expert guidance and support related to web accessibility. This position is responsible for conducting evaluations, providing training, and assisting with the remediation of identified web accessibility issues to bring the Universities web presence into compliance with the W3C WCAG 2.0 standards, ADA, Section 508, and other accessibility related laws.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Tests, evaluates, and recommends web accessibility related software and assists with designing web accessibility best practices for the University.
Perform accessibility audits of institutional websites and web applications and respond accordingly.
Evaluates websites, web development tools, and web applications under consideration for purchase.
Maintains the University’s Web Accessibility website and helps documentation.
Salary Range: $56000 - $86000
