Employment information: Continuing Part Time Appointment, Professional Employee Level 5/6 - $73,502 – $92,329 pa (pro rata), 17% superannuation and 6 weeks annual leave

As the Digital Accessibility Project Officer, you will be responsible for providing targeted support to students with disability and access requirements, enabling more effective engagement with their studies through the use of assistive technologies (AT). This student-focused role includes training, troubleshooting, and developing accessible learning tools, as well as contributing to inclusive communication by producing newsletters and maintaining student-facing platforms such as the Neurodiversity Hive.
About You

To be successful, you will require:

A degree with subsequent relevant experience in education, IT, disability support or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
Demonstrated experience in providing AT support or training within a student-focused or disability support context.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver clear, engaging training and support to diverse student cohorts.
Demonstrated organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
A strong commitment to inclusive education and the ability to work effectively with students from a wide range of backgrounds and learning needs.
Experience producing accessible digital communications or resources.
High level of digital literacy and familiarity with AT tools and platforms commonly used in education.

Additional Key Selection Criteria at Level 6

Strong understanding of digital accessibility standards such as WCAG and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) alongside knowledge of how to effectively implement these standards within a university context.
Experience working with student platforms or communication tools.
