Senior Accessibility Specialist - Technology

About our Team: Our aim is to ensure our employees are equipped with accessible tools, communications, support, and hiring journeys.

About the Role: You will set meaningful objectives, monitoring and reporting of WCAG compliance, as well as designing test processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

Forging long term accessibility collaborations with groups including communications, intranet, procurement, HR, tech support, and the Disability Employee Resource Group.
Conducting VPAT/Accessibility Conformance Reports against the W3C WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
Working with core team developers and UX to test, steer, and validate designs and code to accessibility standards.
Developing creative ways to educate staff on how to create more accessible content including documents, emails, presentations, and communications.
Planning, conducting, and summarizing usability testing with people who experience disability.
Working across the org to develop and roll out policies and procedures.
Requirements

·Have current experience in authoring VPATs/ACRs for enterprise web applications.
Demonstrate experience using testing tools (WAVE, aXe, Microsoft Insights, Color Contrast Analyzer) and with screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver).
Possess experience with conducting usability and accessibility end user research.
