The successful User Experience and Accessibility Test Systems Engineer will partner with the Government in performing the full-lifecycle testing to validate the end user experience for the most diverse number of users including full compliance with Section 508.

The NEE Contractor shall provide services to support NGA’s IT Accessibility Program initiatives using the most up to date web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG), human centered design, and universal usability best practices. This will enable the Government to define and integrate technical and contractual requirements in compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended in 1998 (Section 508).

Duties include:

IT Accessibility Support activities the contractor shall support in the performance of this Task Order include but are not limited to:

Provide IT Accessibility and Section 508 Compliance expertise. Architect, engineer, and implement solutions to ensure accessibility within NGA, NSG, and ASG operations.
Assist the development and documentation of accessible architectures, roadmaps, and investments
Provide IT Accessibility support to current Enterprise IT Accessibility services to include the integration of accessibility into the current enterprise architecture, accessible upgrades, and replacement of inaccessible systems.
Provide technical expertise to support program development of accessible Information and Communications Technology (ICT) by providing technical guidance for implementation of Section 508 Compliance and WCAG, as well as human centered design and universal usability principles. Modernizing the enterprise architecture and ensuring the delivery of flexible responsive user-centered technology delivered at the speed of mission.
Define, evaluate, and document IT Accessibility requirements of new IT initiatives and cyber capabilities. Provide market research and support acquisition activities.
Collaborate with ICT contractor, operations, and accreditation teams on execution of design, engineering, upgrade, and integration activities.
Continuously supports the development and refinement of the As-Is and To-Be enterprise architecture of NGA, NSG, and ASG in support of NGA Strategy.
Support Requirements Engineering, Enterprise Integration Engineering, Enterprise Analysis and Assessment, Capabilities based analysis, Modeling Simulation and Analysis, and Implementation of the Corporate Captioning and Transcription Service
Support all IT Accessibility Test Engineering functions
BS 10-12, MS 8-10, Phd 5-7

Required:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or equivalent Senior level experience as a Test Systems Engineer.
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
Experience with three or more of the following; JMeterand, Jenkins, Docker, Postman, Swagger, Nexus, Apigee or GitHub/GitLab (or equivalent software packages), Java, Bash, Curl, XML, JSON, SQL, Python, Javascript, and AWS and C2S.
Experience with traditional, Agile, and DevOps development practices and associated testing strategies.
Desired:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
Working knowledge of Software Development Frameworks.
Colorado Salary Minimum: $90,200
Colorado Salary Maximum: $218,800
