Who are we looking for

The Accessibility Strategy & Partnerships team shapes and drives the company’s vision, collaborations, and initiatives to maximize employee experience! We provide all athletes with all abilities equitable access to infrastructure, technology, workplace, and resources.

We are looking for the Director of Accessibility Strategy & Partnerships to lead the design, launch and growth of Nike’s Accessibility offense and ensure consistency in our methodology and standards, as well as, driving innovative leading practices! The Director will drive initiatives across functions and task forces that execute the strategy and spearhead transformational initiatives that enhance Accessibility offense at NIKE, Inc. and drive consistency and coordination across NIKE, Inc.
What will you work on

As a Director leading Accessibility Strategy & Partnerships, you hold an active leadership role across our business.

The Director of Accessibility Strategy & Partnerships has 4 focus areas:
Building

Support development of business case and onboarding of full-time resources to support accessibility strategy within different functions/organizations.
Deliver and coordinate identified and prioritized opportunities (accessibility programming, agendas, relationship building).
Support Sr. Director to build and grow the Accessibility function and hold all program efforts accountable.
Maintain consistent standards aligned with applicable laws and/or relevant guidelines.
Define and achieve measurable goals and objectives for the program with senior leadership.

Connecting

Curate Nike’s many efforts into a single narrative around equity and inclusion.
Connect Nike’s internal strategy to external accessibility benchmarking .
Ensure consistency across internal practices and external experiences on the web, on our apps, in our retail stores, our factories, in our products, and in our external marketing efforts (e.g., Nike Retail, Nike Digital, Olympic + Paralympic Games).
Form relationships with external partners in development of future opportunities (hiring, internships, mentorships, job shadows, supported employment programs, etc.).
Stand up a cross-functional advisory team .
Identify top areas or issues impacting the experiences of communities across the spectrum of disability and drive the appropriate partnership solutions.

Educating

Build materials, one-pagers, and other resources for the Sr. Director to socialize with executive leadership.
Evaluate current state Nike’s efforts on mentoring, training and guiding teams on accessibility standard methodologies and identify priorities for learning and development.
Educate the organization on current events related to accessibility or people with disabilities.

Creating Awareness

Deliver the mission, vision, guiding principles and short and long-term goals of the organization-wide offense for Accessibility Strategy + Partnerships team.
Champion inclusion across all functions, leadership teams, and locations.
Drive awareness, advise, and educate Nike, Inc athletes on current events and leading practices around accessibility.
Influence accessibility experiences on the web, on our apps, in our retail stores, our factories, in our products, and in our external marketing efforts, i.e., Nike Retail, Nike Digital, Olympic + Paralympic Games.
Provide clear, concise and objective guidance to the Sr. Director and report on progress and status against plan.

Who will you work with

As a key member of the DE&I team, you will report to the Sr. Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Global Operations, Technology (GOT) and Corporate Functions (CF). You'll serve as an influential partner to the CHRO, Chief Talent, Diversity & Culture Officer, VP of DE&I, and the DE&I Leadership Team.

You will be recognized as an accessibility subject matter expert and develop and drive strategic partnerships with Recruiting, Employee Relations, Total Rewards, Training/Career Development, Workplace Design & Connectivity, Real Estate, Global Technology, Nike Direct, NikeEase, and Communications.
What you bring to nike

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field or a combination of relevant experience, education and training.
8+ years of professional experience in Human Resources, accessibility, employee relations, compliance, workplace design, or DE&I.
4+ years of proven experience specifically in leading programming and strategies for accessibility.
Demonstrated experience and detailed knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act standards and guidelines, WCAG2.1 guidelines, and Section 508 regulations.
Proven leadership and ability to effect change within a large matrixed organization.
Excellent verbal and written communication, especially when discussing the nuances of accessibility to technical and non-technical audiences.
Track record working in a team environment to define, align and rally teams around strategies, roadmaps and priorities.

Preferred:

Master’s Degree.
Proven ability to handle constant ambiguity in a fast-paced, constantly evolving work environment.
