UI / UX Designer (Hybrid)

"The UI/UX Analyst is responsible for defining the overall look, feel, and user experience of applications. This role involves designing, communicating, and executing user interface screens that meet business requirements while ensuring usability and accessibility standards. The UI/UX Analyst works closely with Business Analysts and Technical Leads to deliver high-quality, user-centered solutions.

Responsibilities

* Understand project scope and collaborate with the project team to ensure alignment with requirements, functionality, scalability, and usability goals.
* Partner with Business Analysts to assess existing processes and develop user-friendly interfaces.
* Conduct usability testing and work with UAT testers to ensure solutions align with UI/UX best practices.
* Provide resolution for UI/UX-related issues and risks.
* Participate in requirement-gathering sessions to identify usability concerns and goals.
* Conduct user research, interviews, and observations; develop personas, user flows, journey maps, and storyboards.
* Lead design meetings during application development.
* Analyze user workflows, pain points, and needs to recommend usability solutions.
* Direct the overall visual design, accessibility, and usability of the product.
* Create sketches, wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes adhering to State of Michigan standards and ADA compliance.
* Review wireframes with Business Analysts (for requirements) and Technical Leads (for feasibility).
* Provide developers with UI/UX best practices, coding standards, and ADA remediation guidance.
* Perform accessibility testing for ADA/WCAG compliance.
* Facilitate usability tests with end users and iterate designs as needed.
* Actively advise developers on accessibility and vulnerability remediation.
* Serve as liaison with the State of Michigan’s Center for Shared Solutions (CSS) eMichigan team."
