Program Manager, CCC Technology Center - Accessibility Center Section 504

Provide overall leadership and strategic planning of a defined Section 504 program in the areas of, alternate media, assistive technology, and accommodations in both system-wide and CCCTC system efforts. Work closely with the all 73 Community College Districts, Americans with Disability Act (ADA) coordinators and with Disabled Student Programs & Services (DSPS) staff to ensure appropriate accommodation guidance for their campus community.

The ideal candidate would have knowledge and experience with identifying and providing guidance workarounds and accommodations for known accessibility barriers related to information and communication technologies, including the areas of alternate media and assistive technology. They would also have knowledge and experience in coordinating complex projects that involve a high level of collaboration, including developing successful business processes such as capability maturity models. They would have the ability to consult, present, document, and support ongoing efforts to enhance our capabilities through training, process development, and program improvements across multiple disciplines on accessibility best practices. A completed DHS Trusted Tester Certification or coursework in process would be highly desired.

Serves as a statewide subject matter expert for Section 504 supporting the California Community Colleges Accessibility Center (CCCAC) as part of the California Community Colleges Technology Center (CCCTC). Provide advice on the development and implementation of processes to meet institutional compliance with laws, regulations, and established technical standards related to Alternate Media and Assistive Technology, accommodations, including but not limited to, Section 504, FAPE and ADA. Position has been funded since 1997 through 5-year grants by the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office, the California Community Colleges Technology Center is hosted by Butte College.
