Why this role matters
You will be the go-to expert who both uncovers barriers and fixes them. Your findings will shape product roadmaps, and your code changes will immediately improve the experience for millions of users who rely on Assistive Technology. You will also help our clients navigate the legal requirements for accessibility in the US and around the world.
What you’ll do
Accessibility Testing – Audit web, mobile, and document assets using various assistive devices, including screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack), magnifiers, and voice control tools. Create clear audit reports and prioritize fixes with product teams.
Code Remediation – Patch HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, native iOS, and Android code bases so they meet WCAG 2.2 AA.
Standards Leadership – Coach designers and devs on WCAG 2.2 AA success criteria, ARIA patterns, and semantic markup. Contribute to internal checklists and reusable components. Lead a team of contractors through a digital accessibility pipeline.
Process Improvement – Suggest and implement better ways to manage parallel projects, track metrics, and reduce cycle time in our start-up environment.
Must-have qualifications
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in digital accessibility testing and remediation.
Deep knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA and how it maps to Section 508, Title II of the ADA, and Section 504.
Fluent with NVDA or JAWS, VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), TalkBack, and at least one screen magnifier.
Ability to debug and fix HTML, CSS, JavaScript, plus one modern front-end framework (React or Angular).
Familiarity with native mobile accessibility APIs (UIKit, SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose).
Comfortable juggling multiple deadlines, communicating status, and working independently.
Excellent attention to detail.
Well spoken and articulate both verbally and in writing.
Good at expressing complex topics in writing.
Nice to have
CPACC or WAS IAAP Certification.
Experience remediating PDF, Word, and PowerPoint to PDF/UA.
Exposure to automated test pipelines (axe DevTools, Pa11y, Wave).
Prior work in an agency or start-up setting.

Competitive salary $75,000 - $100,000 depending on skills and experience
