We are looking for a passionate leader to focus on our drive for digital inclusion. You will help us in leading all of our accessibility projects, reviewing and creating requirements for WCAG conformance across all our apps and end-user experiences. Additionally you will be our in-house expert in all things accessibility and will looked upon to educate and enable product owners, developers, designers, and our go-to-market teams on we embed accessibility into the foundation of how we build our product experiences.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Lead, create, and define the Box Accessibility standards and pathways for all end-user facing products
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design teams, ensuring we deliver product experiences that meet or exceed WCAG accessibility standards
Be the primary leader and process manager with 3rd party organizations that audit our products for accessibility standards
Drive the evolution of our existing training materials and develop new techniques and materials to drive accessibility across multiple teams
Partner with our Go to Market teams to review accessibility status and progress with our customers
Evaluate existing patterns across Box to implement enhancements to how digital accessibility is managed
Align with stakeholders, and senior leaders to keep them informed on progress against our accessibility goals
Partner across product management and front-end teams during planning to ensure that new/updated product releases meet accessibility standards
Be a champion, mentor, and subject matter expert for Product Team members when seeking answers, direction, or advice on how to create Accessibly compliant products & services
Provide updates and present to senior leadership regularly
WHO YOU ARE
5+ years in product or program management, with at least 2 years focused on accessibility standards
Experience leading strategic product initiatives, influencing and aligning stakeholders to a strategic vision and execution plan
Excel at both high-level strategy development and detailed execution: you are confident giving a presentation to the CEO and running a meeting with engineers, operations, and marketing
Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented, and cross-functional environment
Demonstrable commitment to accessibility and disability inclusion
Experience with accessibility product/program management and deep knowledge in accessibility standards i.e. WCAG, ARIA, EN 301 549 (EU), etc.
Experience understanding assistive technologies such as screen readers, magnification software, switch control devices, etc.
