Apple’s Accessibility Software Engineering Department is seeking a talented tester to qualify industry-leading assistive technologies, while ensuring our mainstream software products maintain world-class levels of usability and performance for customers with accessibility needs. We are seeking a candidate with significant experience in quality assurance testing and knowledge of modern assistive technologies.
Key Qualifications
You are comfortable writing technical bug reports and comprehensive test plans.
You have experience using command line interface to collect logs and diagnose problems.
Your written and technical communication skills are excellent.
You are upbeat, adaptable, and results-oriented.
You have a track record of working cross-functionally as a problem solver.
You have a proactive approach to tasks that demonstrates self-motivation and critical thinking capabilities.

Description
In this role, you will join the team that builds Apple’s world renowned accessibility products. We focus on testing accessibility technology and collaborating with cross-functional teams inside Apple to ensure our platforms and related features are accessible. You will focus on testing products such as Switch Control, Voice Control, Pointer Control, AssistiveTouch and Accessibility Keyboard. We will ask you to use our products as an assistive technology customer; analyze bugs across software components; test new software and hardware features; document testing in test suites; perform acceptance and integration testing on daily software releases; and find new and creative solutions for challenging accessibility problems that will surprise and delight people of all abilities!
Education & Experience
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, or relevant work experience.
Additional Requirements
Bonus Skills (Desired, but not strictly required)

Deep knowledge of various assistive technology features, especially Apple’s.
Fluency in multiple spoken languages.
Experience using bluetooth switches, power wheelchair joysticks, mouth wands, or other similar assistive technologies
