Grow your career as a Web Accessibility Specialist on the Trisept Solutions team. As a Web Accessibility Specialist, you will work with teams across the enterprise to implement WCAG standards in order to ensure all customers and travel agents can access and use our web sites as well as mobile, tablet and apps. You will also partner with third-party vendors to evaluate and provide accessible solutions for web based and mobile products, to educate and promote the practice of building products with accessibility in mind, as well as to mentor others in methods and techniques for addressing accessibility barriers.

A successful Web Accessibility Specialist will:

Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for WCAG guidelines and stay informed of new guidelines as they evolve.
Lead the WCAG site audits and communicate results to the impacted teams as well as partner with stakeholders to prioritize and plan for implementing the recommended WCAG best practices.
Analyze and identify areas of opportunity to drive compliance guidelines across the enterprise.
Provide expert accessibility feedback to teams across ALG on new features and functionality.
Work across the organization to help drive the adherence and implementation of key compliance guidelines.
Be responsible for analyzing and implementing key standards across the enterprise to ensure the teams are aware of and comply with all applicable laws, policies, and standards.
Be abreast of compliance guidelines and regulations in order to determine the impact to ALG’s products, policies and procedures as well as to identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of experience working with an e-commerce company or within a digital marketing agency is required.
4+ years of experience working with Web Accessibility and WCAG guidelines is strongly preferred.
4+ years of experience working with HTML, CSS and JavaScript is strongly preferred.
Solid interpersonal and communication skills (externally and internally with various levels).
Fast learner, with enthusiasm and ability for acquiring knowledge to become a subject matter expert on compliance guidelines and initiatives.
Ability to mentor others in methods and techniques for addressing accessibility barriers on web applications and mobile devices and in a variety of forums is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated results oriented project management across cross-functional initiatives.
Experience performing Accessibility Audits using assistive and automated technologies such as WAVE from WebAIM, aXe by Deque, JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver
Experience using and following Section 508 and Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) guidelines and specifications – W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 A and AA), Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA), User Agent Accessibility Guidelines (UAAG), and Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines (ATAG)
