The Accessibility Team will collaborate with the teams across the company to establish new policies for Accessibility while driving inclusive design and customer-focused outcomes. The team will be responsible for delivering guidelines and training for Consumer Product. They will operate as the subject matter experts on Accessibility and offer consultant services to the broader organization. This team will partner with product teams across Alight to bring awareness of accessibility into product development while continuing innovation specific to automation and testing.


Key Responsibilities

The individual will be involved in the following critical activities:

Driving accessibility into products through inclusive design, awareness, and innovation

Collaborating with a world-class team of Product Designers, UX Design - Researchers & Content designers

Representing UX Design subject matter expertise within a cross-functional team

Leading discovery, conception and execution of global design solutions in accessibility

Prototype, test, and iterate on designs; evaluates usability of existing systems as well as preliminary designs

Presents research, strategy and design work to internal clients for review

Collaborates effectively with developers, strategists, product managers, executives, Creative Directors and other designers to craft solutions for a variety of different platforms and industries

Facilitates collaborative client discovery and design workshops and participates in ideations

Evolving and evangelizing our Design System

Grow a culture of design and ship with speed, consistency, and quality; rebuilding our culture

Look beyond point solutions and apply design to the creation of new strategies, systems, and—in some cases—entirely new businesses


Work Experience

BS Graphic Design, Visual Design, Communication Design, Human Factors (HCI) or a related field; MS a plus

3+ years of experience as a UX/Product Designer in relevant industries working with multi-disciplinary teams in Agile environments

Experience designing & prototyping web, mobile web and native mobile applications

Some experience with accessibility standards, accessibility features, and inclusive design practices

Experience with WCAG 2.1

A strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methods

Familiarity with qualitative & quantitative research methods and the application of insights

You’re a self-starter who can execute in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction
