Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) businesses build enduring client relationships through sound, thoughtful and objective advice. We help our clients by developing individualized plans for everything from retirement goals to business succession planning, to family legacy intentions. Services include comprehensive planning and advice, investment management, brokerage, private banking, estate planning strategies, trust, and both individual and institutional retirement.

The Wells Fargo Advisors User-Centered Design (UCD) team is seeking an Accessibility Expert to join the team. This position will report to the Manager of the User-Centered Design & Innovation team in the Shared Services group in Independent Brokerage & Platform Services. This position will work in a highly collaborative environment and will be responsible for providing a consultative role to any project teams who have questions or need guidance on how to be in compliance with the various established Accessibility Standards & Policies – primarily focused on our client-facing technology platforms. This position will also work towards institutionalizing accessibility as a part of the Wells Fargo Advisors culture.

Responsibilities include the following:

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for questions/needs related to accessibility coding and design
Promote accessibility within the organization; advocate accessibility and ensuring it is brought to the table for our client-facing technology platforms
Educate internal team members on the importance of accessibility by enhancing & delivering training presentations
Maintain accessibility standards for the organization and track areas of non-compliance and report associated defects/findings
Act as a liaison between Wells Fargo Advisors and other lines of business embracing accessibility within Wells Fargo
Consult and assist with resolution of accessibility-related policy risk and corrective actions assigned to WFA digital properties
Participate in accessibility testing (with accessibility tools, assistive technologies, manual tools, etc.)
Maintain and contribute to an on-line repository for storing accessibility related education, training, artifacts, and resources that are available to internal team members
Remain up-to-date on the field of accessibility
Interact with & educate 3rd party vendors/providers about accessibility and assist in addressing accessibility issues with 3rd party vendors
Evaluate future vendor for accessibility during the vendor selection process
Work with Client & FA platform support centers to address complaints & inquiries related to digital accessibility


Required Qualifications
6+ years of e-business experience
2+ years of experience in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, 2.1 or a combination of both


Desired Qualifications
A BS/BA degree or higher
Brokerage industry experience
Financial services industry experience
HTML (HyperText Markup Language) experience
Ability to operate effectively in a geographically dispersed organization
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important


Other Desired Qualifications
2+ years accessibility experience
Knowledge of WCAG 2.0 and other accessibility guidelines & standards
Experience conducting accessibility testing with a variety of tools including, but not limited to, automated checkers (axe, WAVE, etc.), desktop screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, etc.), mobile screen readers (VoiceOver, TalkBack), and keyboard only.
Basic-to-intermediate understanding of coding languages
Strong passion for accessibility & the ability to serve as a strong advocate for this group of users
Must demonstrate strong communication and relationship building skills
Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities in a cross-functional environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail


Job Expectations
Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
