The Accessibility CoE champions a human-centered, inclusive approach to the design and development of policies, products, services, and facilities that take into account the needs of people with disabilities and regulatory requirements. As Accessibility Program Manager, you will work closely with Scotiabank's internal teams, providing leadership and executional capabilities to ensure business units, product lines, and functional areas are able to deliver and sustain the full benefits of enterprise Accessibility programs through effective Project Management standards, methodologies, and best practices and ensure that all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures



Is this role right for you?



Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Manage and ensure the successful delivery of complex accessibility projects/programs involving multiple teams from different groups across the bank, as well as external vendors when required
Supports implementation of the Accessible Canada Act (Bill- C81) and other applicable accessibility regulations
Ensure that the Accessibility Program meets and exceeds internal Delivery Standards.
Work with business, product, and process owners to ensure that products, services, technology and facilities are Accessible by Design and in compliance with Accessibility Regulations and Standards
Create strong partnerships with business teams and ensure key stakeholders integrate accessibility into their businesses’ operating models and activities.
Develop and implement Change Management strategies and plans that may impact business processes, policies, systems, technology, roles and responsibilities, and organizational structure.
Influence business project decisions with direct impact on financials or operating results
Collaborates with the diverse stakeholders across the bank in the creation of an ever-evolving vision of what inclusive and accessible experiences at Scotiabank look like.
Works closely with the Design and Digital Accessibility Community of Practice, HR accessibility partners and other accessibility, design, inclusion and inclusive design specialists within Scotiabank.
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.





Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed?



Leadership experience in business or consulting roles, with a proven record of achievement and impact
Demonstrated project management experience, leading large scale and complex mix of business and technology transformations.
Strong communication skills (written / verbal / presentation) skills with ability to present complex issues and influence stakeholders
Experience with Regulatory Compliance change initiatives an asset
Experience with disability inclusion and accessibility program management an asset
Change Management experience
A strong passion for customer experience (CX) enhancement initiatives
Business acumen and strong analytical skills
Experience Leading training/workshops and presentations to diverse audiences
Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and develop a structure for successful execution
A passion for changing the way people bank and work, and a willingness to live in the future and build what’s missing.
Project Management, Process Improvement, Change Management and Agile certifications are considered strong assets
