The University of Wisconsin System Administration reserves the right to change this description at any time. **Job Summary:** The Director for Wellbeing, Accessibility & Student Success is a critical leadership position responsible for fostering a holistic and inclusive environment that supports the academic, personal, and professional development of all students within the University of Wisconsin System Administration. This role will oversee the strategic direction, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive programs and services related to student wellbeing, accessibility, and overall student success initiatives across the UW System. The Director will collaborate with campus partners, external stakeholders, and system administration leadership to ensure equitable access, promote mental and physical health, and enhance student retention and graduation rates. **Responsibilities:** * **Strategic Leadership:** Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for student wellbeing, accessibility, and student success that aligns with the UW System's mission and goals. * **Program Development & Oversight:** Design, implement, and manage innovative programs and services that address the diverse needs of students, including mental health support, disability services, academic advising, career development, and crisis intervention. * **Accessibility & Inclusion:** Ensure that all student services, facilities, and resources are accessible and inclusive for students with disabilities and from diverse backgrounds. Promote a culture of belonging and equity. * **Collaboration & Partnerships:** Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with campus student affairs professionals, academic departments, faculty, staff, and external community partners to leverage resources and enhance student support systems. * **Data Analysis & Evaluation:** Collect, analyze, and utilize data to assess the effectiveness of programs and services, identify trends, and inform decision-making. Develop and implement evaluation metrics to measure student outcomes. * **Policy & Advocacy:** Stay abreast of best practices, emerging trends, and relevant legislation related to student wellbeing, mental health, accessibility, and student success. Advocate for policies and resources that support student needs. * **Budget Management:** Oversee the budget for the office of Wellbeing, Accessibility & Student Success, ensuring efficient and effective allocation of resources. * **Staff Supervision:** Provide leadership, supervision, and professional development opportunities for a team of dedicated professionals. * **Crisis Management:** Develop and implement protocols for responding to student crises and emergencies, ensuring timely and appropriate support. * **Community Engagement:** Represent the UW System Administration on relevant committees and task forces, fostering partnerships and advocating for student needs. **Qualifications:** * **Required:** * Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field. * A minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in student affairs, student success, accessibility services, or a related area within a higher education setting. * Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic plans and programs related to student wellbeing and success. * In-depth knowledge of best practices in disability services, mental health support, academic advising, and student retention strategies. * Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and community partners. * Strong understanding of legal and ethical issues related to student affairs, including ADA, FERPA, and mental health confidentiality. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. * Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. * Experience with data analysis and program evaluation. * **Preferred:** * Doctoral degree in a relevant field. * Experience working within a multi-campus university system. * Experience with crisis intervention and management. * Familiarity with emerging technologies and innovative approaches to student support. **Application Process:** Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply online through the UW System Administration careers portal.
