UX Accessibility Tester

Job Description Summary
Accessibility tester will conduct assessments and provide remediation recommendations and support to ensure both internally developed and 3rd party vendor applications are compliant with all required accessibility standard (WCAG 2.1 AA) adopted by JPMC. In addition, this position will be responsible for educating others on how to test web pages and applications for WCAG compliance. Also, will be performing functional validations for various applications.
T ester will also design test processes and procedures used to ensure that software operates within defined requirements , Implement test plans, automation, and validation strategies . Identify and investigate issues found during testing. Work closely with software developers to resolve issues. Use automation to reduce repetitive manual testing. Work with minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment.
Conduct in-depth WCAG compliance assessments via manual reviews and using automated test tools and assistive technologies , compile reports concerning failures in WCAG compliance and provide suggestions
Review WCAG compliance defects with developers (in-house and 3rd party vendor) and discuss possible resolutions ; Monitor resolution of WCAG compliance violations
Provide expert advice to other teams testing web pages and applications for WCAG compliance
Assist project teams with understanding how accessibility activities fit within the project life cycle
Develop and document internal processes for testing to ensure compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
Review requirements, specifications, FRDs to assure quality of the product and prepare detailed test scope, perform defect management
Design test processes and procedures used to ensure that software operates within defined requirements, Implement test plans, automation, and validation strategies
Automate various workflows/come up with ideas to reduce manual effort by using automation
Experien ce/Skills required:
Ability to think critically and work independently in a collaborative environment with strong communication skills
Have strong STLC and SDLC concepts, fair understanding of agile and scrum methodologies
Detailed knowledge on WCAG 2.0 AA standard
Practical experience testing for WCAG conformance using Screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, Zoom text), Voiceover for iOS and Talkback for android for mobile accessibility
Testing PDF, Word, PowerPoint, and other document for accessibility
Should also have prior experience in functional testing
Develop feature files using cucumber TDD/BDD framework, working experience with selenium is preferred
