Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Vendor product accessibility evaluations
Report writing
Accessibility evaluation communication to WGU stakeholders
Accessibility remediation planning
Data collection and analysis
Fulfilling caption and transcript requests
Accessibility Q&A and consulting
Accessibility evaluation methodology research
Accessibility industry research
Course and assessment content analysis
Vendor content creation acceptance analysis
Support the creation and maintenance of accessibility training material
Accessibility training presentations
One on one accessibility coaching
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to be empathetic and understand many different user journeys
A passion for improving access to higher education for people with disabilities
Ability to read and interpret HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Ability to self-manage daily tasks and meet deadlines
Ability to accurately collect data and analyze it to identify areas of process and performance improvement
Ability to understand and explain technical and user experience issues in simple and concise language
Ability to research complex topics and find answers to questions independently
Ability to work on team projects under the direction of senior team members
Ability to study and comprehend complex technical documentation (WCAG 2.x AA, Section 508)
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in technology or equivalent work experience
Beginner to intermediate HTML, CSS, JavaScript experience
Working Conditions
This full-time position would work in the Salt Lake office
