Digital Accessibility Expert

We are looking to hire a Digital Accessibility Expert that will provide digital accessibility testing and consulting to our clients. As our Consultant, you will work in a client-facing capacity and in close collaboration with our engineering team to advise and deliver digital accessibility services. You will be an integral part of accessibility audits, implementation, remediation, and testing efforts. As our perfect candidate, you are expected to be proactive; up-to-date with current accessibility laws, regulations, and trends; and must also have a track record of delivering successful projects.

This is a full-time position with great pay and benefits in Greater Los Angeles area.

Responsibilities

Perform accessibility assessments on digital assets, web/mobile/cross platform software applications based on WCAG, CVAA, and US Section 508 guidelines
Work with clients in identifying and analyzing accessibility issues
Document issues as well as remediation recommendations
Work closely with development teams, project teams, and client stakeholders to implement accessibility solutions
Conduct accessibility testing on desktop, mobile, STB, console, and OTT devices
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in professional digital accessibility testing and implementations
Experience in compliance with WCAG 2.0 AA guidelines, EN 301 549 (EU), FCC (CVAA) regulations
Expertise in web and mobile accessibility design and development best practices
Experience with accessibility regulations and compliance issues related to video, streaming media, or telecommunications fields
Accessibility testing experience with screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, Talkback
Accessibility testing experience with tools such as Axe, WAVE, Tenon, and browser Accessibility inspectors
Experience with developing accessible web sites using HTML, CSS, ARIA
Experience with identifying and writing detailed accessibility remediation and recommendation specifications
Excellent communication skills and consultative approach
Preferred Skills/Requirements

Experience in compliance with WCAG 2.1 guidelines
Experience with JavaScript and SPA frameworks such as React.js / React Native etc.
IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) and/or Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) Certification
Bachelor’s degree
