What will I be doing? 

As a Lead Accessibility Specialist you’ll lead our Accessibility team, the teams role is the following:



Working with our Designers and Developers supporting them to create brilliant features for every customer
Assessing our sites and applications against WCAG guidelines, helping us find where we can improve
Creating and delivering engagement resources to raise awareness and understanding of accessibility across the company
Researching and Developing complicated accessibility solutions ensuring that our custom features can be used by all our users



We want someone able to take a culture first approach to accessibility to not only solve the technical challenges but also drive change for accessibility and disability inclusion across the organisation.



What skills and experience would I need? 

Good understanding of Semantic HTML 
Experience auditing web and apps against WCAG 2.1 Guidelines
Confidence to build and deliver presentations and workshops
Domain level experience in either:
Web or App development - JavaScript & React experience desired
UX/UI
Technical Product/Project management
Experience with Desktop Screen Readers – NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver
Experience with Mobile Screen Readers – iOS VoiceOver and TalkBack
Experience with other assistive technology e.g. Zoom or Voice technology
IAAP CPACC and/or WAS accreditation desired but not required
