Position Summary
Entrega is a leading provider of Application Design, Development and Delivery services to global clients. Our team of professionals use their expertise and experience to deliver results for our clients that address their most important business challenges.
The Web Accessibility Manager will utilize their skillsets and knowledge to understand business stakeholders’ challenges and priorities. Based on their understanding of these needs they will work with the project team to assist with deliverables to address these challenges and priorities. They will be working collaboratively with the project team through the management of the full lifecycle of a project, from project definition, project documentation, stakeholder communication, and timelines for a successful on time delivery.
Job Description & Responsibilities
Build trusted client relationships with UX team, Marketing teams and technical team
Establishes knowledge of UX business challenges and priorities to translate into opportunities
Maintains regular client communication and satisfaction, ensuring opportunities and challenges are addressed
Helps deliver presentations to clients and management teams
Translate client’s business needs into detailed business requirements documents, use cases and systems interaction diagrams
Assists project team to establish high, mid, and micro level plans for project team
Helps to establish critical path, milestones, delivery dates, and review client deliverables to ensure they meet client acceptance criteria
Provides leadership throughout the lifecycles of a project, guiding the understanding the project team has through design and development to ensure project requirements are met
Stay up to date on technology and experience patterns in order to constantly be capable of communicating changes and updates to our approach to accessibility
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher Accessibility – General
Ability to build relationships and trust with teams who have been resistant to accessibility in the past
Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 guidelines
Knowledge of ARIA specifications
Certified IAAP Web Accessibility Specialist (CPAAC) a plus
Certified IAAP Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) a plus
Knowledge of Siteimprove is a plus
Accessibility experience for web, mobile, PDF and Office documents
Experience in working with Automated Accessibility Testing and accessibility plug-ins
Experience in an accessibility consultant role – global accessibility is a plus
Experience in creating user stories in agile process
Experience in creating functional business requirements
Experience working directly with people and communities of consumers with disabilities is a plus
Expert at time management and able to work with minimal supervision
Hands on experience with Assistive Technologies (NVDA, JAWS, Voice over, Talkback) a plus
Ability to recommend accessibility remediation solutions
Knowledge of front-end and mobile development best practices
Does not need to be a developer but knowledgeable enough to research and recommend solutions in collaboration with a developer
Understanding of the different roles and responsibilities across the disciplines of software development
