Lead Accessibility Analyst

What will I be doing:
As a Lead Accessibility Analyst, you will build positive partnerships with the technology delivery teams to ensure that Hilton's digital technology can be used by customers with disabilities. You will participate in our digital technology delivery efforts, serving as the advocate for our guests with disabilities (vision, hearing, motor, cognitive, etc.) and share your deep understanding of accessibility and universal design practices used to achieve compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and other associated international legislation. You will develop rich, accessible experiences for guests of all abilities during their stay with Hilton!

More specifically, you will:

Support digital initiatives – including marketing initiatives – to ensure consistent, accessible experiences throughout our customer experience.
Implement accessibility strategy set forth by the Accessibility team leadership to include accessibility consultation, implementing accessibility testing methods, and leading success metrics toward continuous accessibility conformance.
Recommend accessibility improvements to the existing design systems and component libraries.
Support product delivery teams in their efforts to design, develop, test, deliver and maintain target accessibility standards.
Review UX Designs (i.e., wireframes, visual designs, and interaction patterns), highlight accessibility considerations using annotations, and write accessibility-specific acceptance criteria.
Identify and deliver on-demand training to improve the teams’ abilities to deliver accessible digital experiences.
Partner with user experience researchers to confirm accessibility considerations are front of mind early and throughout all research undertakings.

What are we looking for:

Understand and communicate the business strategies and project key strategic priorities (KSP).
Ability to work within a dynamic environment and prioritize with focus and precision.
Work respectfully and sensitively with members of diverse populations.
Understanding of the assistive technologies currently available for our customers, the technologies used to measure compliance, and remain up to speed on innovations in both.
Familiarity with assistive technology devices including screen readers, screen magnification, alternative keyboard inputs, etc.
Ability to provide technical assistance and remediation guidance to multi-functional teams.
Knowledge of accepted accessibility interaction patterns and standard methodologies.
Familiarity with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as well as regional and international accessibility laws.
Hands-on experience with WAI-ARIA and how to implement accessibly.
Tactical knowledge of W3C standards-compliant HTML and CSS

To fulfill this role optimally, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

Five (5)+ years of professional experience with product accessibility, universal, inclusive, and equity-focused design
Three (3)+ years of experience in the accessibility discipline
Three (3)+ years of experience with prototyping and development for software products.
Open and willing to travel up to 10%.

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

BA/BS or Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree or High School Degree/GED plus 10+ years of Technology-related experience.
Five or more years of experience in the digital accessibility discipline.
Prior experience in the Hospitality industry.
