Technatomy is currently seeking a 508 Compliance Analyst/Tester to join our team in support our Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veteran Enterprise Module & System Integration Services (VEMSIS) contract.

In this position you will be part of a team responsible for:

· Delivering lower complexity, modular Low Code-No Code solutions that will enable reusable service-focused software component architectures including PaaS functions/capabilities, SaaS integrations, APIs, and Digital modernization and emerging technology support.

· Implementing solutions using platforms such as Salesforce/Mulesoft, Pega, MS Dynamics and PowerApps Suite (including PowerBI), Appian, and Box.

· In service under VA’s Digital Transformation Center (DTC), delivering capabilities in the areas of: Case Management Modernization, Data Ops, Applied AI, and Rapid Prototyping.

DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES):

· Validate 508 Compliance using government accessibility standards for web or file-based content.

· Evaluate accessibility testing tools and manage tasks in multiple products/projects.

· Develop 508-compliant HTML and multimedia products.

· Test products and work directly with designers and developers to resolve issues.

· Interact with multiple functional roles, or client stakeholders, on accessibility testing results and remediation possibilities and provide remediation recommendations.

· Identify errors in document structure, headings, reading order, images, charts and tables, and hyperlinks.

· Stay current on Section 508 policy, accessibility checklists, and additional federal accessibility guidelines.

· Identify areas of non-compliance in custom documents, web applications, and COTS products and suggest solutions to achieve compliance.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

· 3+ years of quality assurance/testing experience.

· Demonstrated use of assistive technologies and knowledge of Section 508 and WCAG requirements.

· Experience educating customers on Section 508 requirements and serving as a subject matter expert.

· Proficiency with Adobe products (Acrobat, Captivate); Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); and developing interactive PDFs (JavaScript programming a plus).

· Medium to Expert knowledge of JAWS; NVDA; Narrator screen readers; ANDI; Dragon or similar.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:

· Prior VA or Federal Agency experience preferred.

· Current VA clearance highly desired.

· Prior experience with VA Digital Transformation Center (DTC), VA Enterprise Case Management Solutions (VECMS), or VA Product and Technology Ecosystem Management Service (PTEMS) is a plus.

EDUCATION:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. Five (5) years of additional experience may be substituted for the degree.

CLEARANCE:

· Must be a US Citizen.

· Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
