About the Job:
As a Lead Accessibility Analyst, you’ll be embedded with a team of developers, designers and product owners and that team is altogether responsible for creating world-class accessible experiences for Target Guests and Target Team Members. This includes the creation of entirely new experiences, as well as improvement to existing ones. You’ll be well-positioned to make an impact as a Lead Accessibility Analyst working on a friendly and high-performing team operating at the heart of Target’s growing digital business.
In this role, you will be involved in the full product development cycle, providing accessibility consultation during the ideation, design, development and testing phases, providing final sign off prior to the experience being launched. You’ll use your WCAG knowledge to guide your partners in the design and development of innovative and accessible digital experiences. You’ll do this by experimenting and collaborating, through product discovery and design sprints, with both next-generation ideas and optimizations of current experiences in support of Target’s business strategies.
You’ll bring empathy and guest insights to every business problem. You’ll participate in guest research and leverage data to inform design decisions. You’ll help to define objectives and results with product, design, engineering and business partners. You’ll push work forward with high standards and an approach that follows the voice of the guest. You’ll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of leaders, product designers, content designers, engineers, product managers, data analysts and researchers.

About You:
Technical Experience
Minimum 10+ years of experience with at least 6 years of experience in Accessibility field
Expert skills in understanding WCAG 2.1 AA, ADA & Section 508 standards and working in an agile environment with developers and designers in applying requirements to create accessible experiences.
Ability to understand code and work with developers in finding solutions
Ability to understand the user journey and validate the wireframes or visual designs according to accessibility standards.
Proven ability to successfully lead accessibility efforts, throughout all phases of development, within large-scale projects and initiatives involving multiple cross-functional teams.
Experience developing procedures to guide consistent accessibility consulting across an organization.
Experience performing accessibility testing of web and app experiences with assistive technology, including keyboards and screen readers.
Experience challenging the existing process with new ways of bringing in process efficiency.
Exposure to automation tools and coming up with innovative ideas to stay updated with the current trends and needs.
Soft Skills
Proven track record working in a global organization, building strong relationships with US based partners and showcasing excellent communication skills to maintain business alignment.
Able to work well in a large organization with many partners, with a demonstrated track record of building deep relationships and influencing peers and leaders.
Comfort operating with flexibility in your approach to deliver results in a fast paced, constantly changing and highly ambiguous work environment.
Track record in using a strategic approach to solve complicated problems and strong collaboration skills to pull partners into your work process.
Communicate digital accessibility needs and solutions with grace, logic, and data.
Showcase examples of successful mentoring of peers, which demonstrates your approach to teaching to elevate the work of analysts on your team.
Have a passion for continuously improving digital experiences for people with disabilities.
Awareness of disability & accessibility laws (RPWD Act, ADA & Section 508) across India & US.
