We are looking for a passionate, innovative, strategic individual to join our Accessibility Public Relations program in the Office of Accessibility, ensuring we are providing engaging, consistent, and effective communications to employees, job candidates, partners, customers, and the community.
This position requires a combination of a marketing and publishing mindset with proven experience developing content strategies across multiple media channels. With a mastery in the art and science of content marketing, this role brings together a love of data and storytelling to execute plans that attract new audiences, keep them engaged, and bring them along on our accessibility journey.
Responsibilities

Collaborate with creative, product, campaigns, social, blog, UX, and digital teams to develop content execution plans that support our employees, partners, customers, and the disability community.

Drive full cycle of communications, from optimizing collaboration approach, planning, content development, and reporting.

Work with internal teams and Subject Matter Experts to create communications for internal and external audiences

Identify and leverage opportunities to further amplify our messaging in new, innovative ways

Manage and develop communications calendar for omnichannel planning.

Lead the execution of content projects with a team of writers, editors, designers, and digital partners.

Develop key performance metrics dashboard and reporting approach, investigating web trends and how they play a role in accessibility and disability-inclusive communications.

Increase key performance metrics to attract and move audiences with content, including organic prospect traffic, time on page, click-thru rates, subscribers, form fills, registrations, and chat sessions initiated.

Develop a guideline on accessible and inclusive content marketing best practices, train and streamline best practices across teams/departments/individuals for communication activities.

Conduct research on accessibility topics, as it pertains to various digital channels (web, social media, online chats, forms/surveys, etc.) and how other technology companies are communicating their accessibility efforts and journals.
The Person Most Successful in this Role Will Have:

Proven experience in creating inclusive content (such as the use of progressive terminology and language related to people with disabilities, representation of people with disabilities in images and visual media)

Passionate about creating compelling communications, who can interact with a wide variety of stakeholders, including Senior Leadership, leading others to a common goal.

Confident understanding of accessibility best practices across digital platforms based on WCAG 2.1 guidelines, and familiarity with tools available to ensure accessibility (ex. color contrast checker)

Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and communication skills

Understand social media metrics; interpret the results and take action to increase the effectiveness of marketing campaigns

Good knowledge of members and influencers of the accessibility and disability community

Appreciation for analytics and using data to inform decision-making and content development

Efficient project management skills, including working on a high volume of projects
Preferred Skills/ Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience

3-5 years of marketing experience related to content marketing and social media with a minimum of one year dedicated to inclusive and accessible communications.
