Location: For this role we are open to remote work located anywhere within the United States or Canada.

About the opportunity:
Are you a front-end developer passionate about accessibility? Consider joining Ceridian today as we take our cloud platform to the next level. We are looking for a Front End - Senior Software Developer with HTML, CSS, and Javascript, to join our Accessibility team to help us to make our Dayforce application accessible by many people as possible.


What you’ll get to do:

Remediation of old components/pages to make them accessible for everyone.
Consult and guide other team members regarding everything related to Accessibility.
Participate in the meetings with our designers to make sure all new components or pages will be designed in a way that is supporting accessibility.
Get knowledge and keep yourself updated with our preferred tools for accessibility.
Working in a team based on agile methodologies.
Estimate effort, assess risks and impacts on the existing system as wo go forward.
Working closely with PO and BA, QA also Designers.
Leverage your knowledge and experience to mentor other developers.
Document our ways for accessibility to create a book of references for other teams to refer.

Skills and experience we value:

Familiar with accessibility tools. Scanners and screen readers.
Familiar with WCAG guidelines.
Experienced frontend developer who possesses a strong understanding of frontend knowledge and concepts and have knowledge about Accessibility.
2+ years of leading development teams including dev and qa.
4+ years of experience with HTML5, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS
3+ years of demonstrated experience with any of the modern JavaScript libraries such as React, Angular, Dojo, Vue, etc.
2+ years of working with JavaScript run time environment such as Node.js
Experience of how to communicate with Rest Apis.
Hands-on experience with CSS pre-processors such as SASS, LESS, and STYLUS
Disciplined self-starter, capable of working independently and in close collaboration within an agile development team
Excellent communication skills.
Technical documentation skills.

What would make you really stand out:

Experience with Unit Testing Libraries/Frameworks such as Karma, Mocha, Jasmine, JEST, Enzyme, NUnit
Strong understanding of CICD pipeline working with software such as Jenkins, Azure, Git, GitHub
Write beautiful code, keeping in mind code vulnerability, accessibility, extensibility, modifiability, reusability
Experience and knowledge about .Net and Java
Experience working with SaaS Enterprise Software collaborating with cross functional teams

We are a team including of Dev manager, Developers, QA, Product Owners, Designers and BA. Our mission is making our cloud application accessible by everyone everywhere!
We guide, help, and support other teams for anything related to the accessibility.
We work with agile and remediate our current components and pages to make them accessible.
We find out the best practices and accessibility tools such as scanners, screen readers, automation tools.
We work with vendors and third parties to provide the best accessibility training materials and plan them accordingly.
We have regular team building and company events.
We encourage learning and training; You will have access to training resources such as Pluralsight
We will contribute in accessibility workshops and trainings.
