Apple is seeking an experienced User Experience Designer with a passion for designing top-notch enterprise business applications as well as being an authority in Accessibility. You consider Accessibility a fundamental human right, and you want to work somewhere where people feel the same way. The individual must be self-motivated, an excellent problem solver, and a fast learner. Good design thinking skills and demonstrated experience in designing commercial-grade applications are required. The candidate will work with many teams at a time on various exciting projects and with many talented engineers in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment to design new accessible business applications.
Key Qualifications
At least 4 years of significant experience in accessibility, User Experience Design, and conceptual and analytical skills
Proven success in strategic and design thinking and expertise in content strategy, system design, usability, analytics, user testing, information architecture
Web and app design experience and proficiency in design tools (Sketch, Keynote, Photoshop, prototyping tools)
In-depth knowledge and experience of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience in implementing accessibility testing methodologies
Knowledge of WCAG 2. x guidelines & WAI-ARIA, practical experience in implementing accessibility testing methodologies, and ability to provide accessible code solutions using web technologies/iOS Apps
Experience in testing with assistive technologies (including screen readers such as VoiceOver, and JAWS )
Description
As a User Experience Designer, you will perform the following activities: Responsible for designing accessible business applications, performing accessibility testing, and providing accessible code solutions. Work with functional analysts to gather requirements, and collaborate with developers to design consumer-grade business applications. Handle multiple tasks and be flexible in switching between different tasks. Work with multi-regional teams across different time zones.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
