As a Section 508 Accessibility Tester you will be responsible for ensuring that our digital assets, systems, and documents comply with Section 508 accessibility standards. Your expertise in accessibility testing, remediation, and compliance will play a critical role in providing inclusive and accessible experiences for our users. Responsibilities:
Monitor WHS Section 508 compliance and address issues
Provide accessibility training to content owners, system owners, user community and other WHS stakeholders
Test WHS systems, web sites, documents, and other files for accessibility and Section 508 conformity IAW with Federal and DOD regulations, SOPs and best practices
Report results of testing and recommend corrective actions
Provide guidance and assistance with the remediation of non-compliant systems, webs and documents
Track accessibility complaints, issues, and trends
Respond to accessibility related taskers, RFIs and data calls and inquiries.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Accessibility, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in accessibility testing, compliance, and remediation.
Strong understanding of Section 508 accessibility standards and related regulations.
