Key Qualifications
3-5+ years of experience in a Software QA Automation Engineer role, or comparable experience
Experience developing test plans, automating test cases, assessing risk, filing and triaging appropriate defects
Knowledge of software testing methodologies & practices
Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose a resolution
Experience testing mobile applications
Software scripting skills (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Perl)
Experience in the Software Development Life Cycle (e.g. Code reviews, Git, Pull Requests, working with development teams)
Ability to thrive in a collaborative working environment within your team and beyond
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Description
As an Accessibility Quality Assurance Automation Engineer you'll need to take an active role in shaping the quality and accessibility of our software. This will demand deep integration with our development engineers, creating automation test plans, bug reporting and triaging, identifying automation tool opportunities, and supporting design reviews. You'll help us identify holes in coverage, actively sync with multi-functional teams to reduce duplication, foster better testing, and resist regressions. A passion for building accessible products is key. We are building a passionate and diverse team that will span a broad range of applications, tools, and frameworks. Education & Experience
B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
Additional Requirements
Comfortable and adaptable in a fast-paced and informal environment with the necessary support
Ability to respond and react to changing priorities quickly and efficiently with expectations communicated well on both sides
Good understanding of software development and the QA life cycle
Familiar with 3D computer graphics concepts a plus
Experience and/or willingness to learn Objective-C / Swift a plus
Experience and/or willingness to learn database languages (e.g. SQL and variants) a plus
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $109,500 and $171,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
