Technical Writer - Accessibility Governance & Compliance

OVERVIEW: Lead efforts crafting content and technical documentation for accessibility tools and governance
LOCATION: Austin, Texas
COMPENSATION: Based on 4-8 years of experience
HOURS/DURATION: Full-time, budgeted for 9 months with possible ongoing employment
Liaison Creative + Marketing is hiring a remote Senior Technical Writer to join our remote team supporting our high-tech corporate client, a global leader in hardware and software. Working with the Accessibility Governance & Compliance Team, you'll have the opportunity to drive technical requirements/technical solutions, be part of PR engagements and the Accessibility Champions Education platform.

Write supporting technical documentation for accessibility tools
Drive technical compliance for web-accessibility standards
Conduct tests and studies into the company’s accessibility-product compliance
Develop strategies and implementation plans for accessibility-related matters
Manage customer feedback and technical issues for accessibility of the company’s computer products
How to be a top candidate for this job:
4-8 years of work experience in technical writing/strategy/UX writing with a preference for working in larger organizations
Online portfolio showcasing work
A human-centered approach to design thinking and digital experience
Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG and Section 508)
Proficiency in report writing
Undergraduate degree
This is a remote position; however, we are only considering candidates currently residents of TX, MN, NC, UT, OH, VA, and TN. We cannot consider candidates outside of these areas at this time.
Skills:
Familiarity with RSA Archer Suite or Service Now a plus but not necessary
