Accessibility Developer/Advocate Intern

If so we are looking for a candidate who is passionate to learn about Digital Accessibility to join Apple’s Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) division during the summer of 2023 on a 3 month internship.
Key Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in accessibility, and possess some prior knowledge and experience of coding websites or apps in Web, iOS or macOS. An ability to think creatively, and strong interpersonal skills are required.
Experience of any of the following is a bonus, but not essential:
HTML and CSS
A programming language such as JavaScript, Java, Swift or Python
Xcode, SwiftUI or AppKit

As an IS&T Accessibility Developer Intern, you’ll be tasked with an exciting and challenging assignment focused on Digital Accessibility. You’ll be given the autonomy to influence the project direction and requirements to make them your own, whilst being supported by technical and accessibility mentors throughout this experience. You’ll gain the opportunity to work within Apple’s Accessibility Center of Excellence, a group created with the purpose of promoting and supporting accessibility across Apple, where you’ll learn accessibility best practices from our experts across Web, macOS and iOS.
Education & Experience
This role is only available to students enrolled in their penultimate year of study, who will graduate and be available to begin full time employment in Summer 2024.
Additional Requirements
IT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Once you complete your internship, high-performing interns may become eligible for full-time offers into Apple's Graduate Program. This is a rotational training program designed to accelerate the learning and careers of our graduate employees within Apple IS&T.
