The Gaming Accessibility team within the Xbox Player Services (XPS) team is looking for a motivated, accessibility subject matter expert with passion for accessible gaming, compliance and proven record of project management of large-scale programs.

The role will be a balance of partnering with teams across Xbox to understand compliance and engineering processes, while encouraging accessibility and innovation through inclusive design, customer voice and consultations. As an accessibility expert, desirable candidates would have natural aptitude for communicating and adapting messaging across disciplines that have varying levels of accessibility expertise and conveying technical accessibility information into consumable content. This person will also be developing long-term strategic roadmaps, be accountable for reporting metrics and building communities of accessibility advocates while partnering with the disability community to bring perspectives into product.

Responsibilities:
- Apply game accessibility subject matter expertise across gaming hardware, software, and games to ensure quality user experiences are being designed and engineered
- Work with legal to provide teams with guidance about accessibility standards and requirements
- Establish key performance indicators, collaborate to set goals, drive regular reporting and analysis for projects
- Function as a gaming accessibility technical subject matter expert who monitors and reports on industry trends
- Work closely with designers, program managers, usability teams, and accessibility experts to drive practical solutions to complex issues, and facilitate accessibility education


Required Qualifications
- Customer obsession with technical knowledge and passion for accessibility software, hardware and/or assistive technologies.
- 2+ years’ direct experience working with people with disabilities in one or more of the following enabling gaming: disability community, accessibility industry, diversity and inclusion, inclusive design
- 4+ years’ experience working in accessibility industry, with proven knowledge of accessibility compliance standards
- 4+ years’ experience in program management or product management
- 2+ years' of gaming industry experience


Preferred Qualifications
- Technical knowledge in gaming, web and/or mobile accessibility development and solutions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt message for different audiences including engineers, designers, marketing, leadership teams as well as non-technical partners
- Ability to build and manage partnerships with stakeholders and be effective in cross-group collaboration, demonstrated by creating scalable programs across different teams
- Capability to develop and drive strategic roadmaps, supported by quantitative metrics that influence product decisions
- Ability to give inclusive presentations/events in-person and virtual, live, and pre-recorded
