Job Description
Faculty members are primarily teachers and are responsible for the preparation and implementation of assigned courses. The college expects faculty members to expend about three-quarters of their time in teaching responsibilities. ## Examples of Duties * Teaches a minimum of 15 contact hours per week including general business, accounting, and economics courses * Participates in college-wide committee work, recruitment day activities, student advising, community outreach, etc. * Communicates and executes pedagogical and classroom management plans effectively * Clarifies to students the expectations and standards for assignments, assessments, and all class policies * Advises students, shows concern for their academic welfare providing assistance with course work and planning of programs * Develops and teaches appropriate course content for classroom and online use that conforms to WCAG 2.0 specifications for accessibility * Conducts a minimum of three office hours per week * Participates in curriculum development and revision including development of pathways for the Business Administration AS and AAS degrees * Conducts course and program assessment and communicates recommendations to department * Works with other faculty to recommend selection of textbooks and classroom resources * Assists in development of an effective means of evaluating and establishing clearly defined grading standards and procedures maintaining course consistency and academic rigor * Responds to college's needs and adheres to departmental and college policies * Pursues professional development and increased knowledge in teaching through avenues such as self-and graduate study, workshops and conferences * Participates in department meetings and related advisory boards * Participates in the college governance process through division-level task ## Typical Qualifications **Experience:** * Teaching experience preferred * Experience in the Accounting or Economics field preferred * Experience with WCAG/accessibility compliance a plus **Competencies and Skills: ** * Demonstrated teaching excellence with diverse student populations * Ability to deliver course instruction on the ground in the classroom, remotely through Zoom or a comparable video conferencing software, and online through Blackboard or a comparable LMS * Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite * Ability to teach Accounting and/or Economics courses preferred ## Supplemental Information * This position may require flexible scheduling to include evenings and weekends and duties at any Atlantic Cape location * Annual renewal contingent upon enrollment Employer Atlantic Cape Community College Phone 6093435611 Website[http://www.atlanticcape.edu/](http://www.atlanticcape.edu/)Address 5100 Black Horse Pike Mays Landing, New Jersey, 08330 URL: https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/atlanticcape/jobs/newprint/5270487
