Preferred qualifications: - Master's degree in a technology or business related field. - Experience developing consumer electronics hardware products. - Experience in global accessibility standards, assistive technologies, and product design. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development. The Android XR team is tasked with building Google's next generation computing platform of extended reality devices, applications, services, and underlying technologies to enable the ecosystem. We focus on making immersive computing accessible to billions through mobile and XR devices. You will define the product strategy and accessibility guidelines to ensure the next Android XR devices are inclusive, leading AI-first features like real-time visual interpretation and augmented transcription to empower seamless interaction. We are building a future where lightweight XR devices pair with AI to augment human intelligence and offer personalized, conversational, contextually aware experiences. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $163,000-$237,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges depend on role, level, and location. Individual pay considers job-related skills, experience, and education. This range reflects base salary only. Responsibilities: - Define and advance the product strategy and roadmap for accessibility features across Android XR. - Drive ideation, development, and delivery of AI-first features that augment human perception. - Establish foundational accessibility guidelines and best practices for display-less and glanceable AI glasses. - Collaborate with UX research and advocacy groups to engage users with disabilities. - Drive user-driven quality and metrics definition, testing solutions for reliability in real-world environments.
