Job Description

Salary range is $81k to $170k with a midpoint of $118k. New hires typically receive between minimum and midpoint, however, we may go slightly higher based on experience, internal equity and market. General Purpose: Under direction of the accessibility services manager, responsible for managing accessibility services projects from start to finish, including timelines, staff participation, stakeholder outreach, and outcome monitoring. Manages project files in SharePoint and Teams and fiduciary commitments under the accessibility services budget. Essential Functions: - Staff liaison to the Citizens Accessibility Advisory Committee; logistical support for meetings. - Oversees project quality, timelines, budgets, and documents progress. - Monitors ADA complaints for Sound Transit and partner agencies. - Enhances visibility of accessibility reports via SharePoint, Teams, and intranet. - Provides ADA and accessibility support to cross-departmental groups. - Develops proactive advisory processes for accessibility needs in planning. - Manages stakeholder outreach, feedback collection, and collaborations with GCR, CREI, etc. - Identifies accessibility needs and proposes solutions. - Ensures partner agency ADA compliance. - Models Sound Transit core values and promotes equity and inclusion. - Complies with safety and sustainability policies. - Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Social Services, or related field. - Five years of experience in transportation, ADA compliance, or disability services; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Licenses or Certifications: - ADA Coordination certification. Required Knowledge and Skills: - Understanding and application of the ADA and complaint process. - ADA requirements for transit facilities. - Understanding transit experience from the perspective of persons with disabilities. - Ability to initiate projects independently. - Critical thinking and analysis skills. - Record keeping and records management. - English language proficiency. - Proficiency with office software, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. - Ability to manage multiple projects and diverse workforce. - Effective communication skills. - Experience with SharePoint and Teams. - Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. - Policy and procedure development. Physical Demands / Work Environment: - Hybrid office, field, and transit settings. - Periodic regional travel to facilities and partner agencies. - On-call with possible weekend and night shifts. - Safety and equipment training provided.
