Visual Information Specialist

Summary This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Communications (OC) As a Visual Information Specialist, GS-1084-13, you will serve as the focal point for the development and coordination of internal and external agency communications. Duties Lead planning, development, and production of electronic, print, and corporate communication products aligned to CMS communication goals. Assess target audiences and client needs, recommend visual media, and produce or direct production of communication products. Review communication materials to ensure the desired effect on intended audiences and develop new approaches to improve results. Monitor art and design quality for national, regional, and central office materials to ensure consistent CMS identity and adherence to guidelines. Ensure visual products meet federal digital accessibility requirements and are optimized for web, mobile, and social media platforms. Develop, maintain, and enforce agency-wide visual identity and branding standards, including style guides and design templates.
