Meeting the Challenge (MTC), Inc., A CP&Y Company, is an accessibility compliance consulting firm that serves individuals and organizations with rights and responsibilities for compliance with federal disability rights laws. Some of our services include providing evaluations of programs, policies, architectural plan reviews and inspecting Facilities and Public Rights-of-Way (PROW) to assist our clients with solutions to solve their disability law compliance challenges and increase access for people with disabilities.

MTC is seeking a talented and motivated candidate for our Accessibility Specialist position to join our Colorado Springs CO and Waco TX offices. This position will be responsible for the collection of data at our clients location to in regards to Facilities and Public Rights-of-Way (PROW).

Duties and Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

The primary responsibility of this role is to work as a team and capture field data within facilities and public right-of-way using our proprietary software which consist of taking a variety of measurements using a tape measure in addition to digital levels and entering the data into tablets for the collection of all data attributes. Collecting data will be accomplished in varying environmental conditions throughout the year.
Assist in the analysis of data and photos in support of the Data Analysts
Understand the prioritization of the data based on specific criteria from the American with Disability Act (ADA) standards.
Participate in the development of Reports using the Microsoft Office Suite of Software and Adobe Acrobat.
Use data collection tools, including but not limited to: a tape measure, smart level, and door force gauge, to measure accessible routes, general site elements, built-in elements, public rights-of-way, etc.
Use satellite imagery and GPS to review existing areas during data collection and analysis
Demonstrate strong analytical skills
Analyze complete databases for data compliance
Interpret and analyze all phases of architectural design drawings for non-compliance

Minimum Requirements:

Experienced in MS Office Suite of Software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam
Experience with ArcGIS, Survey 123
Ability to effectively communicate with your peers, leadership, and clients
Ability to travel up to 80% for projects Nationally
Ability to conduct on-site data collection for up to ten hours per day, walking 10 miles a day
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
Ability to stand, squat, kneel, and bend on a regular basis
Self-starter and Strong work ethic
