We are currently seeking a remote Senior Accessibility Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our company's products and services are fully accessible to individuals with disabilities. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of accessibility standards and best practices, as well as experience with accessibility testing approaches and processes.


RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure our company's products and services are fully accessible to individuals with disabilities, adhering to accessibility standards and best practices
Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including designers, developers, and project managers, to integrate accessibility considerations throughout the software development lifecycle
Conduct accessibility workshops and training sessions to raise awareness and promote best practices within the team
Advocate for accessibility-based decisions to stakeholders, including senior management
Compile A11y Compliance Reports/VPATs and develop accessibility specifications for our products and services
Participate in brainstorming and other idea-generating sessions to identify innovative ways to enhance accessibility

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accessibility testing and consulting
Solid understanding of accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 and Section 508 compliance
Experience compiling A11y Compliance Reports/VPATs and developing accessibility specifications
Expertise in A11y testing approaches and processes
Experience with A11y evaluation tools, such as JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver
Familiarity with screen readers and other assistive technologies
Excellent consulting and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accessibility concepts to stakeholders
Proficiency in English language, with at least an Upper-Intermediate level for effective communication with the team and stakeholders

NICE TO HAVE
Experience with accessibility processing of documents
Familiarity with accessibility in HTML/CSS
