Digital Accessibility Analyst
Description: The Digital Accessibility Analyst is responsible for identifying issues through user acceptance testing and suggesting potential solutions for accessibility barriers based on the WCAG 2.0 Level AA standards as well as compliance with the ADA, Section 508, and other accessibility related laws. Contributes to efforts aimed at delivering accessible websites, applications and content by user acceptance testing. Other duties.
Qualifications: Professional experience and knowledge of how to navigate websites and documents, using a screen reader or magnification software. Knowledge of manual and automated quality assurance testing. Understanding of principles, concepts, methods and techniques of universal website design standards. Ability to utilize computer technology for communication, data gathering and reporting. 1-3 years of experience using one of the following screen readers in a professional or educational setting: JAWS (Windows), NVDA (Windows), Voice Over (Mac OS, iOS), ChromeVox (Chrome OS), Talkback (Android). 1-3 years’ experience using magnification software, such as ZoomText, in a professional or educational setting. Ability to read braille (a plus). Experience required: 1-3 years of work or educational experience using screen readers or magnification software to use/navigate MS Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as websites. Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and alone, excellent problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to gather resources and information needed to understand content and options. High School diploma or GED equivalent.
